Breakin’ Convention

Jonzi D’s wereldberoemde internationale festival voor hiphopdanstheater neemt Rotterdam over van 12 t/m 15 november 2026.

Vier dagen lang verandert de stad in het mondiale ontmoetingspunt voor hiphopcultuur – van theater tot battles, van DJ’s tot spoken word. In Nieuwe Luxor, Theater Rotterdam en Theater Zuidplein komen internationale iconen en lokale stemmen samen in één gedeelde ruimte: het podium, de vloer, de cypher. Met enkele van de meest prestigieuze crews ter wereld, lokaal talent, jamsessies en workshops.

Community Jam at Theater Zuidplein is all about experiencing and doing yourself! We have various workshops, battles, showcases, and Open Mic. With contributions from, a.o., our Ambassadors Pigeons Crew, llocal hiphopcommunities, and international acts that performed on the main stages during Breakin Convention Rotterdam. Breakin’ Convention

Jonzi D’s world famous international festival of hip hop dance theatre, takes over Rotterdam from 12-15 November 2026. 

For four days, the city becomes the global meeting point for hip hop culture - from theatre to battles, from DJs to spoken word. Across Nieuwe Luxor, Theater Rotterdam and Theater Zuidplein international icons and local voices come together in one shared space: the stage, the floor, the cypher. Featuring some of the most prestigious crews from around the world to local talents, jam sessions and workshops.
